Pelton Wheel Refurbishment Project

The following video clip is of foam model test machining for a pelton wheel bucket refurbishment. The worn buckets are built up with weld and machined back to their original shape.

Prior to machining the actual wheel, foam cutting tests are performed to verify the 5-axis tool paths and to check the solid model for accuracy.
